location & parking

Fear Columbus Haunted House
2605 Northland Plaza Dr.
Columbus, Ohio 43231

There is ample free parking for all guests directly on site! When entering the parking lot please drive slow and be alert! We usually have lots of scared customers running to their vehicles and want to keep everyone safe.

The front row of the parking lot will be blocked off with cones as it is a fire lane. If you need to drop off or pickup guests please do so near the back of the parking lot or in any area that doesn’t slow down the flow of traffic.

We are not responsible for any valuables left in your vehicle. Please avoid bringing any prohibited items listed below since you will be asked to return them to your vehicle before you can enter the front gate.

your Entry Time

Very important!

Your Entry Time is the time you are permitted to enter the front gate and join the waiting line. This is NOT the time you will be starting the haunted house. You should still plan to wait in line, especially on Fridays & Saturdays.

Please plan your evening accordingly for longer wait times during the final weekends in October since that is our peak season.

Please arrive on site 15 minutes before your selected Entry Time to account for traffic or other unknown delays. Please wait in or near your vehicle until it is your Entry Time. You will not be allowed to enter the waiting line early.

If you would like to reduce or eliminate your wait in line we have Fast Pass and Immediate Access tickets available.  If you purchase one of these options, please follow the signage for the appropriate line. You can upgrade your ticket online. Click Here for instructions on how to upgrade.

security SCREENING

All guests are required to go through a walk-through metal detector and security checkpoint handled by a professionally trained 3rd party security company as well as the Columbus Police Department. To ensure the safety of all guests and employees, there is a strict no-weapons policy while anywhere on the property.

LEAVE ALL VALUABLES AT HOME

No bags of any kind are permitted inside the facility or waiting line. (This excludes any medical devices)

Please do not bring anything of value inside the facility. Fear Columbus is a very intense and interactive haunted house. Because of the jump scares, claustrophobic scenes, running, ect we do not want you to lose a valuable possession.

Any item you bring inside the event gate must be fully secured in a pocket. You can not enter the attraction holding any items in your hands. (This excludes medical devices such as canes, walkers, or wheelchairs)

PROHIBITED ITEMS

The following items are NOT permitted on the property under any circumstances. If security finds any of these items when going through the metal detector, you will either be asked to return them to your vehicle or you can throw them in the trash. Under no circumstances can our staff or security hold onto items.

Health warning

Make sure to review the following medical advisory. If you have any existing medical condition please get approval from your doctor before attending. We are unable to provide medical advice regarding your specific situation if you reach out to customer support. Click any warning below to expand it and learn more.

Do not enter if someone in you are sensitive to strobe lights or other flashing lighting conditions. We utilize over 100 strobe lights throughout the attraction including the waiting line.

Do not enter if you have asthma or other medical sensitivity to fog. We utilize heavy usage of water based fog machines throughout the attraction.

The waiting line, outside, and inside the attraction is very loud. Fear Columbus is designed to be a total sensory overload featuring true concert level audio in every room of the attraction including the waiting areas. Please discuss with your doctor if this is a concern or if you have any hearing related medical conditions.

Do not enter if you suffer from claustrophobia or other fears of tight or enclosed spaces.

Anyone with an existing heart condition should not enter the attraction. Please discuss with your doctor if you are unsure wether this applies to you.

Anyone pregnant or expecting should not attend the event or enter the attraction. Please discuss with your doctor if you are unsure wether this applies to you.

Fear Columbus is a very intense and physically demanding experience. We do not recommend anyone with heart conditions or pacemakers go through the attraction.

ADA & Wheelchairs

Yes, the entire haunted house is ADA accessible! Guests are more than welcome to attend that require the use of a wheelchair.

Our staff will be available at any point if you need any extra help.

Electric wheelchairs are permitted as long as they can safely navigate standard ADA sized hallways and doorways.

Please email us at info@fearcolumbus.com to let us know if you would like extra assistance. We will make sure we have a dedicated staff member to assist you if you would like.

The entire facility floor plan is approved and inspected by the State of Ohio building department and inspected regularly by Columbus Fire Department to ensure it is safe and fully accessible for guests using wheelchairs.

If you have any other ADA related questions not covered on the help article please reach out via email and we will be happy to assist in any way we are able!

Please note: we can not accommodate any oversized wheelchairs that can not be safely maneuver through a standard 36″ ADA doorway or hallway.

Keep A STEADY PACE

No need to Rush!
Just Keep A Steady Walking Pace

Once you enter the attraction please keep walking at a slow and steady pace at all times. We want to ensure the groups behind you and ahead of you have a great time too.

We use timers and security cameras to space out groups at the entrance, but it is up to our guests to be respectful of those around them by walking at a steady pace.

Please be aware that our attraction is specifically designed for a constant high throughput of guests. Please do not stop just because you see the group ahead of you. You will see other groups at times, this is ok. We have designed multiple different scares in every room so everyone gets scares not just the first person to enter the room. You are welcome to slow down if you see the group ahead of you, just don’t completely stop.

If you feel like the group around you acted in any way that resulted in you not having the best experience possible, please make sure to let us know so we can work with you to make it right.

Please email info@FearColumbus.com with any concerns and we will help!

Attraction Rules

The safety of our guests and staff is our first priority. Failure to follow this rule will result in immediate removal from the facility without a refund.

You may take as many pictures as you would like while in line or in the Fear Gear store. However, once you enter the attraction absolutely no photos or videos are permitted. If you are caught recording or using your phone as a flashlight you will be asked to leave without a refund.

Cell phones can be taken through security and the attractions but they can NOT be held in your hands while walking through the haunted house. You must have a secure pocket to keep your phone in at all times.

Please refrain from wearing heels or flip-flop shoes. The attraction is fast-paced, and has ramps and uneven surfaces. For your safety, we highly recommend closed-toed shoes.

Group Photo Op

Secure your photo card

You will receive a group photo at the beginning of the attraction. Please make certain the photographer hands you a Photo Card with your unique photo code and QR code printed on it. Store this card safely in a pocket.
There is no way to look up your photo if this card is lost.

Where To View Your Photo

At the end of the attraction, you will take your photo card up to any cashier at the Fear Gear store, and you can view your photo or purchase a printed copy if you would like.
