Opening Tasks
Event and Store
Event Lead
- Delegates and Oversees Staff Tasks
- Decides who will do which task each day
- Answers Staff Questions
- Contacts Late Staff
- If an Event staff Member has not arrived by call time, they need to be contacted immediately.
- Ensures All Tasks Are Completed Before Opening
- Use the complete Event and Store Task Lists to make sure everything is done.
- If something is not done, the staff member in charge of it needs to be found and put back on track or the Event Lead needs to complete it.
- Fills Out and Submits the Opening Checklist Each Night
- This communicates to Nick and Jess that all tasks are completed.
Event Staff
- Placing Egress Walkies
- Walkies are stored in the Event Hub and are numbered. They will need to be placed in the egresses each night under the sign corresponding to their number.
- Walkie 1: Front Egress of Second Attraction
- Walkie 2: Greenhouse/Loading Docks
- Walkie 3: Back Egress, Meat Locker Hallway
- Walkie 4: Butcher Block
- Walkie 5: Egress Near Staff Bathrooms
- Walkie 6: Egress Near Dock Doors
- Walkie 7: Center Egress Near Back Queue
- Walkie 8: Center Egress Near Front Queue
- Costume Walkie: Shelf outside of Costume Room
- Walkies are stored in the Event Hub and are numbered. They will need to be placed in the egresses each night under the sign corresponding to their number.
- Sweep Front Foyer of Building and Front Queue
- Sweep these two areas and dump the dustpan in the trash.
- Sweep Front Foyer of Attraction and Photo Ops
- Sweep these two areas and dump the dustpan in the trash.
- Sweep Back Queue and Back Foyer
- Sweep these two areas and dump the dustpan in the trash.
- Laser Tag Guns
- Assist the Event Lead in unplugging and moving guns to the Attraction’s Front Foyer.
- Outside Setup Assistance
- You will be assisting with outdoor setup. Your Lead or someone for the Operations team will delegate your tasks for you!
- You may be assigned another task. However, once your task is done, head outside to see if they’re in need of help.
- Store Assistance
- If you finish your task and have already checked in with outdoor setup, please head to the store to see how you can assist.
Store Lead
- Check Cash Supply
- This is the FIRST thing you need to do every night.
- Communicate Cash Needs BEFORE 6pm. This should NEVER be communicated while we are actively opening.
- There is NOTHING we can do once banks are closed and we are actively opening, so all needs have to be communicated as soon as possible.
- Stock Registers with Cash
- Check Registers to Make Sure They’re Working
- Check Computers to Make Sure they’re Working
- Check Printers to Make Sure They’re Stocked and Working
- Prep Tablet with the Lost Item and Incident Report Forms
- Oversee and assist with other Store Opening Tasks, listed below.
Store Staff
- Sweep Floors
- Sweep the floors on the show floor and the behind the merch counter
- Dump dustpans in trash
- Restock and Tag Merch
- Restock all possible merch on the floor and make sure to tag them (if they get a tag)
- Restock Fridge and Food Items
- These items are located in the side storage rooms.
- Do this throughout the night as well if you are able to!
- Tidy Merch
- Make sure all merch looks neat, are in correct size orders, and in its place.
- Outside Assitance
- If you complete all store tasks, please ask if outside is in need of assistance for setup.
