Icon Character Descriptions

Full Icon Character descriptions for both attractions during the Haunt Season and all Off-Season Events (2022)

The Summoning

  • The Summoning tells the story of a house with a dark secret. In this cult-like setting, we’ll find the cult members and the monsters they’ve summoned.
  • Since the theming in this attraction follows a more singular path, the scene descriptions are more set in stone as opposed to Aftermath and should be followed as closely as possible. All scenes and positions are listed although not every position may be filled each night depending on staff.

Costume Description

  • Cult Members should be dressed as a resident of a nicer home would be dressed. Dress shirts and dresses can be utilized for the majority of actors in the attraction. All cult members will also have a red robe over their clothes. Either a designated half mask or eye mask must be worn by all cult members. House Creepers should be in a mask, even if it isn’t Diablo or Beezelbub, but those masks should be utilized on other Cult Members in that instance. Creatures will have designated masks and costumes that are listed on the mask page.

Makeup Description

  • Cult Members and Creatures with half or full masks will only need their eyes and mouths blacked out. Cult Members who only have eyes masks can be paled out and really only need makeup near their mouths. They can be chapped, veiny, black, or a little bloody. If time permits, some Cult Members can have prosthetic carvings of some of the symbols found around the attraction.
  • Absolutely no real religious or demonic symbols should be used on any actors.

Devil's Night

  • Devil’s Night takes place on the night before Halloween.
  • A teenager at the local High School has stolen a book from his house (The Summoning) and is using that book to conjure up all sorts of things in the town of Fearwood.

Costume Description

  • Unless specifically stated otherwise, costuming for this house is pretty fluid. As long as clothes are tattered and dirty, they can be used for pedestrians. Masks are also pretty fluid. Some scenes have designated masks and that will be stated. However, any Aftermath mask will work in scenes that do not have a designated mask. Please try to use every mask we have available before putting an actor in makeup.
  • Characters in this Attraction will be Students, Cheerleaders, School Staff, Pedestrians, and specific to the “business” they’re in.

Makeup Description

  • Most actors will be in masks. However, anyone not in a mask will get fairly simple makeup.
  • Not necessarily bloody, though some could be.
    • Any students or school staff not in a mask should get simply makeup — dirty faces, some cuts and bruises. Nothing too crazy!
    • Other actors in this house can be dirty and bloody.

Overview

Welcome back to a NEW YEAR! Love is in the Scare is our first event of the year. The attractions will pretty much remain the same, just with a little extra love. Guests will be able to bring their dates and enjoy some thrills and chills.

Costume Description

  • The theming of the attractions will remain basically the same with some minor changes. The Summoning will now be known as “Cupid’s Revenge”, with The Summoning Creatures becoming more Cupid-like. The thought is that Cupid and their army is taking over and maybe getting a little too violent with making people fall in love. Residents will not need masks, but almost all Cupid Like creatures can have some sort of creature mask, even if that means pulling from Aftermath.
  • Aftermath now becomes a town overrun by inmates that have broken out of the asylum and are all going crazy with love. Costumes and masks can remain pretty much exactly the same, but you are able to swap out a regular costume for an asylum one in points throughout the attraction.

Makeup Description

  • Looks will remain generally the same as the season. However, we can make the residents in The Summoning a little bloodier. Refer to the reference photos for some looks on hearts carved into the skin or tears streaming down their faces. Cupids that don’t have masks can be pale with rosy cheeks and a defined, evil brow and smile.

Overview

Nightmare Combat is our off season summer event in which guests are given a laser tag gun and get to go through the houses and shoot the actors. Aftermath: Anarchy is where this event will most prominently take place, although there is a chance that some of all of The Summoning will be utilized. In any case, all actors will be some sort of creature as opposed to a human.

Costume Description

  • All costumes and masks will remain pretty much the same. Silicone masks won’t be necessary unless someone asks for one or can for sure handle one. However, every half and full mask needs to be utilized for this event. Masks that have head pieces or accessories usually can be used without these things. There should barely be any actors, if any, in a full face of makeup.

Makeup Description

  • We will be utilizing as many masks as humanly possible for this event, so makeup should be fairly easy. The few, if any, actors that will be in makeup will be able to get some simple prosthetics applied since time will allow for that. All actors with masks will need their eyes and mouths blacked out as well as any exposed skin covered with dirt and/or blood. Remember, no human characters for this event, only creatures!

Overview

The Blackout Event wraps up our Haunt Season every year. All the lights in the attractions are turned off and guests go through them in total darkness with only one glow stick in order to find their way out.

Costume Description

  • Costumes that are used for the Haunt Season can be used during blackout. However, darker clothes can be utilized where they make sense. Every single actor will be wearing a mask, no exceptions. Blackout masks should be worn by every actor in the houses. The creatures in The Summoning can remain in their masks. Cloth asylum masks and butcher area masks should be worn in their scenes as normal as well.

Makeup Description

  • Every actor will be in a mask, so they will all need their eyes and mouths blacked out. There is no need for blood in this event, but actors should have their exposed skin dirtied.

Overview

Happy Holidays! Krampus is the most wonderful event of the year. Both attractions will be transformed into a winter wonderland and set the stage for Krampus to make his annual visit.

Costume Description

  • The Summoning will transform from a Cult-like atmosphere into a home that’s been overrun by Krampus and his creatures. Characters in this house will include the home’s residents, evil toys, creatures like sugar plum fairies, and some evil elves. Placement for these creatures can be somewhat fluid but can and will be solidified closer to the event once speaker scares are done and those will be noted ahead of time. All home residents can be in more comfortable clothing such as Christmas pajamas and sweaters. The Cult Member masks do not need to be used for this event.

  • As the Krampus creatures move into Aftermath and take over the town, we’ll see a bigger mix of elves and pedestrians. Again, these spots can be fluid and will be solidified once speaker scares are in place. Areas like any shops and the asylum will follow pretty much the same theme as the season. Pedestrians should all be in some sort of Christmas attire. Masks will also be utilized just as they were in the season since they can all be considered Krampus creatures. Bells and accessories are also available.

Makeup Description

  • Although we will utilize masks, there will be a healthy mix of makeup as well. Some elves and creatures will have masks, but those who don’t can be done up to look like the reference photos. All elves and creatures should have exaggerated features. Pedestrians can be dirty or frostbitten, but not so much bloody.
