Operations Lead and Assistant

Operations Lead

  • The Operations Lead position is currently held by the General Manager of Fear Columbus
  • During the “Off” or “In Between” times at the Haunt, the Operations Lead is in charge of the following.
    • Completing all checklists
      • Daily
      • Weekly
      • Fire
    • General Upkeep of the Building
      • Cleaning
      • Maintenance
    • Making sure the fire extinguishers are initialed at the beginning of each month
    • Keeping inventory and replacing items as needed
    • Set building and construction
    • Sound
    • Lighting
    • Set Up and Tear Downs of Events
    • Creating Plans for the Outdoor Queue Line
    • Creating Written Instructions and Plans when applicable
    • Referring to Teams to keep track of tasks
    • Sticking to Strict Project Procedures
    • Sticking to Strict Deadlines
    • Sticking to Budgets
    • Presenting well thought out plans before beginning a project
    • Delegating Tasks in a clear, understandable manner


NOTE
The Operations Manager basically has a hand in a little bit of everything around the building. Nick, Jess, and the Team will step into assist as needed and as often as possible. It is up to the Operations Manager to communicate when extra help is needed and to create a plan that gets the job done as quickly and efficiently as possible OR will need to follow the plan laid out to them.

  • During Operational Days, Responsibilities are as follows:
    • Arriving in a timely manner
    • Repairs
    • Opening the Show
    • Repairs throughout Operational Hours
    • Crowd Control and Guest Relations during Operational Hours
    • General Upkeep of the Building
    • Completing Operational Checklists

Operations Assitant

  • The Operations Assistant will work closely alongside of the Operations Manager and carry out any task that is assigned to them by the Operations Manager, Nick, and Jess
    • The Operations Assistant will NOT be responsible for the following:
      • Initial Planning
      • Budgeting
      • Sound
      • Lighting
      • Inventory Restock
      • Submitting Checklists (The Operations Manager may assign tasks if necessary, but they will still need to complete them).
      • Customer Relations
      • Crowd Control
  • On Operational Days, the Operations Assistant is Responsible for:
    • Arriving with enough time to assist with repairs
    • Assisting with repairs, damages, and cleanup as needed during operational hours
  • Essentially, the Operations Assistant will be here to assist the Operations Manager with the majority of projects and building tasks
